Undead Death Knight
Ironically, my undead death knight is not super into the "skulls and bones" aesthetic of most of the death knight sets. Instead, I wanted to go with an "executioner" vibe, which I think I accomplished here. The result is a little more minimal, a little sleeker, a little more medieval looking. For full commit you'd want to go with one of the scythe-like axe or polearm models, but Armageddon just fit the set so well and looks so freaking awesome I couldn't resist using it!

Tauren Shaman
It took me a while to come up with a tauren shaman outfit that I really liked, but I'm pretty happy with this result. The truth is, most shaman sets look pretty awesome on tauren, but I wanted something just a little more unique. I also wanted to go with a "tribal elder" vibe, as opposed to the "armored warrior of the elements" vibe that a lot of shaman sets have. The main thing I like about this set is that it features Sternhorn's Shield, a uniquely tauren shield that doesn't really match a whole lot -- but here it's perfect! For the weapon enchant, I would actually use either Illusion: Flametongue or Illusion: Earthliving, depending on if he's Elemental or Restoration specced.

Blood Elf Hunter
My first WoW character was a blood elf hunter, and I still consider going back to him and making him my main sometimes (or at least an active character). I might do just that in Legion when Mists heroic raids can be soloed, and I can start working on this outfit. Like my paladin, I wanted to try and create a distinctly blood elf look using newer equipment. In this case that's the appearance of a Sunfury ranger, with various Burning Crusade enemies serving as inspiration. I'm quite happy with the result, though a more solid black belt to help tie together the gloves and boots might be a slight improvement.

Orc Warlock
You can't go wrong with most of the warlock sets -- most of them are quite sinister and just oozing with demonic energy. But for my orc warlock, I decided I wanted to go with an old warlock, someone who had been around since the original fall of the orcs, who maybe even used to be a shaman before drinking the blood of Mannoroth. I think this outfit matches that concept quite well -- it's ragged and worn, a little tribal, but thoroughly tainted by fel power.

Troll Hunter
For my troll hunter, I decided to go straight up troll gear with the Amani Mail (Recolor) set. Don't judge me -- the various troll sets look amazing and I love them. It makes me really wish that other races/factions got some distinct transmog outfits, as well (though I guess draenei and orcs got some love in Warlords). I did decide to change out the boots for a model with a little bulk, but other than that, I didn't feel the need to get creative with this set. I'll try to remedy that with my troll shaman, whenever his turn rolls around!

Undead Warlock
Per request, here's my stab at a Forsaken warlock! I wanted to go for something plague-y, as opposed to demon-y, and I'm quite happy with how it came out. The only thing I might fiddle with is the off-hand -- I think I would have preferred a tome with a purple glow, as opposed to trying to match the very minimal green in the outfit. You'll also note that I've started adding recommended enchants to weapons, and noting it in the set breakdown below. The enchant was pretty important in this set, but I'll probably keep doing this going forward.

Tauren Paladin
Tauren paladins were one of the best things to come out of the Cataclysm class expansion (along with troll druids), and the Sunwalkers are awesome. That was one of the things I liked about Mists, specific factions (or even sub-factions) had specific things they were doing in the world or in the story. It made the expansion very connected to the lore and politics of Warcraft, even taking place in Pandaria. Sadly, that's been lost in Warlords, but I hope it comes back sometime. In the meantime, here's my attempt at a Sunwalker champion. I'm really happy with this outfit -- the gold and glowing blue make it a distinctively paladin look, but the roughness and horns make it look a little wild and primal too, which I think fits a Tauren holy warrior.

Goblin Mage
I wanted to do a goblin blastmage a la Hearthstone, but with a few modifications. First, I wanted to go with a non-robe look, because (a) that lets me use the Bilgewater Cartel Tabard, and (b) it seems more practical for a goblin blaster, who probably wants to be in the thick of things (to blow the things up). But since he is a mage, I wanted to go with a hood instead of goggles. With all this in mind, the Tirisfal Regalia (Recolor) (sans chest) fulfills all my criteria and looks really nice. For the weapon, it was really just a matter of finding something that looked like it was ready to EXPLODE at a moment's notice.

Troll Druid
Believe it or not, this is my last semi-active character post! After this, it's going to be hypothetical mogs for characters I would level if I had time. But first, let's talk about my troll druid Shirokh. First, it's a crime that we can't have apostrophes in character names, because my trolls should be Shi'rokh and Jin'zai. NPCs can do it, why can't we? There's not a whole lot to say other than that -- the browns and reds all go together nicely, the skin-showing robe is very troll-appropriate, and the green accents on the shoulders, belt, and gloves just look great together. The result is a very primal and fierce troll druid.

Blood Elf Paladin
There's a lot of iconic blood knight gear in the game, but I wanted to come up with something new for Valiseth here. Obviously the set started with the Blood Knight Tabard and Blood Knight War Cloak, and then I went looking for black-and-red gear. The Horde Tyrannical Gladiator paladin gear was a good start, with the bonus of being very ornate and looking like something blood elves would craft and wear, so I grabbed those shoulder and leg pieces. The Tempered Saronite Battlegear was a perfect source for the remaining gear I needed (though I did go with a non-set bet that looked a little fancier). Finally, Reclaimed Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood worked perfectly for a blood knight weapon, especially with an Illusion: Fiery Weapon enchant. The result is very distinctly a fearsome blood knight, but different than the standard blood knight looks and sets.

Troll Priest
Better late than never, here's last Thursday's Horde post -- my troll shadow priest Jinzai. The various troll armor sets are all amazing for transmog, but I try to spice them up with some non-set pieces. Luckily, the Robes of Hooded Nightmares matches the Amani Regalia (Recolor) set remarkably well. Add in the skull accents from the Crafted Malevolent Gladiator's Cord of Accuracy and Cloak of Armed Strife, along with the iconic Bad Mojo Mask, and you've got a perfect troll witch doctor.

Orc Shaman
I'm particularly proud of this set for my orc shaman Kogari. I'm not a fan of most Warlords equipment looks, but those Warsong Spaulders look pretty darn awesome. So I set about making a shaman set using pieces from the Warsong Armor set, and came up with what you see here. The deal with the axes is that I wanted to go for a traditional enhancement shaman "main hand windtongue, off hand flametongue" appearance, which you see here in the choice of axe models, and I actually did in-game with the weapon illusions. The overall result is pretty awesome for a Horde warrior shaman, if I do say so myself.

Tauren Warrior
Most plate sets look badass on tauren, but I decided to do something different for Boruun, something a little more appropriate to the tauren culture and aesthetic. Something less "plate-clad colossus", and more "tribal nomad warrior." This set started with the light shoulders and the Thunder Bluff tabard, and everything else followed from there -- rather well, I think. I naturally went with the Axe of the Tauren Chieftains for a weapon, but if you want a 1h+shield look, I would recommend the Talon Guard Wingclipper and Observer's Shield.

Pandaren Monk (H)
Originally I was just going to go with the Horde version of Tuesday's mog, but then I decided that would be a cop-out, and came up with this set for my Horde Mistweaver Maoshu. This outfit is comprised mostly of the non-set version of Rogue Tier 9, which doesn't come with gloves! Thankfully, there's a number of leather hand-only gloves, so this is the rare outfit where the wrists are displayed and play an important role. If you wanted to spice this up, keep the robe and play around with complementary head/shoulder/gloves/belt combinations -- I had some luck with Monk LFR Tier 16, for example.

Goblin Hunter
Razacle is a Bilgewater mercenary, using the time-tested strategy of using big guns and bigger beasts to kill his enemies dead, while standing far far away. With that in mind, the game here was to match the Bilgewater Tabard, nicely accomplished with hunter Tier 9 (and a better belt), which does have a very goblin-appropriate industrial feel to it. The eyepatch looks badass, and I imagine that's the only reason Razaxle wears it. Of course, my favorite part of this character isn't pictured here -- his giant devilsaur pet named Chompy.

Undead Mage
I've been picky about transmog sets for my undead mage Ghislain for a while, wanting an outfit that was evocative of Warcraft liches. Aesthetically, I also wanted gloves (not sleeves), and to find equipment models that didn't clip obnoxiously, which can be hard with the undead model's posture. I finally settled on this set, which I like quite a lot. The dark colors, icy accents, and sinister staff look lich-like, while the matching Tier 8 shoulders and gloves hint at his being a powerful wizard in life. The tattered cloak also gives an appropriate sense of rot and decay. The result is the powerful and sinister Forsaken lich you see here.
Edit 4/7: After collecting everything but the staff, I didn't love how this looked in-game. I've decided I can let the bulky gloves go, and am shooting for this outfit now.

Blood Elf Warlock
Nothing says blood elf like the Sunwell armor sets, so it was obvious that I'd want to go there for my Sunreaver warlock Arienthas. Most everything worked out immediately, except that since I wanted to display the Sunreaver tabard, and tabards and robes mix terribly, I'd need to (a) find a non-robe chest, and (b) find matching boots. Point (a) was no trouble, since the tabard covers up most all of the chest anyway, so this chest piece and the black shirt work perfectly. Point (b) was a real problem, though, since the matching boots are mage-only. Ultimately I settled on the Runecloth Boots you see to the right -- I actually think the gold/yellow main with red accent balances the shoulders nicely, and really ties everything together. Similarly for the belt. The result is a distinct and striking blood elf look usually reserved for mages, for a Sunreaver warlock.

Troll Rogue
I wanted my (recently race changed) troll rogue Tazashi to be a Darkspear shadow hunter. While there's a lot of really cool troll equipment for transmog, I much prefer to use newer models whenever possible, because of the higher visual quality. This set really started with the shoulders, which I thought looked very troll-appropriate, and everything else sort of came together after that. I actually really like how much skin this set shows -- while that's also very troll appropriate, it also showcases the new troll models, which I think are overall the most-improved.

Orc Death Knight
Gorehl is one of my current mains in Warlords, and my oldest active main. I imagine that after the war in Northrend, he committed himself fully to the Horde, serving them now as a commander and champion. His transmog reflects both his death knight nature and his Horde allegiance. The red versions of the iconic death knight gear matches the Hellscream's Reach Tabard perfectly, and the Tier 10 chest/legs add some variety. The Tier 9 sword obviously has a strong Horde aesthetic, but also appears to be a runeblade. The result is a very striking death knight of the Horde.
