Dwarf Mage
A fire-themed dwarf mage seemed pretty obvious, and I am nothing if not cliche -- but I at least want to put my own spin on it! So instead of using a straight up fiery set (e.g. the Firelord's Vestments (Recolor)), I came up with what you see here out of a few different sets. In addition to the fire themes, you get a lot of metals and jewels, making it look very royal and opulent. I think this is very appropriate for a race renowned for their earthen riches and treasures. This character would look absolutely perfect riding around on a Core Hound, which by itself really makes me wish I had this guy, since it's such an awesome mount that just doesn't fit any of my characters!

Goblin Mage
I wanted to do a goblin blastmage a la Hearthstone, but with a few modifications. First, I wanted to go with a non-robe look, because (a) that lets me use the Bilgewater Cartel Tabard, and (b) it seems more practical for a goblin blaster, who probably wants to be in the thick of things (to blow the things up). But since he is a mage, I wanted to go with a hood instead of goggles. With all this in mind, the Tirisfal Regalia (Recolor) (sans chest) fulfills all my criteria and looks really nice. For the weapon, it was really just a matter of finding something that looked like it was ready to EXPLODE at a moment's notice.

Draenei Mage
There's not too much to say about this outfit for my draenei mage Archaeas. The Tier 9 mage set looks very draenic and super appropriate for an arcane mage, and it matches the Staff of the Skymagi perfectly. Unfortunately, the matching belt is just awful -- I HATE the giant bulky belt models! There's a few viable alternatives, but I eventually settled on the Cincture of Will. It's not a perfect match, but the gold and purple designs go with the rest of the set perfectly, and I think the white band works, even though it is lighter than the other set colors. Sometimes it's okay for belts to be an accent piece, standing out a little from the rest of the outfit -- within reason! For a more interesting set, check out this draenei warp-engineer.

Undead Mage
I've been picky about transmog sets for my undead mage Ghislain for a while, wanting an outfit that was evocative of Warcraft liches. Aesthetically, I also wanted gloves (not sleeves), and to find equipment models that didn't clip obnoxiously, which can be hard with the undead model's posture. I finally settled on this set, which I like quite a lot. The dark colors, icy accents, and sinister staff look lich-like, while the matching Tier 8 shoulders and gloves hint at his being a powerful wizard in life. The tattered cloak also gives an appropriate sense of rot and decay. The result is the powerful and sinister Forsaken lich you see here.
Edit 4/7: After collecting everything but the staff, I didn't love how this looked in-game. I've decided I can let the bulky gloves go, and am shooting for this outfit now.
